At Feist Automotive you'll find the expertise and premium parts needed to get your hybrid or electric vehicle back on the road in no time. The days of being stuck with dealer repairs, and the sky high bills that come with them, are over. At Feist Automotive you'll find highly trained and qualified mechanics with expertise in every area that makes your hybrid or EV different from everyday vehicles, such as electric drivetrain components and regenerative braking systems.

Your hybrid car's electric motor allows it to save gas when driving around in stop and go traffic. Getting your car rolling strains your engine much more than cruising along at a steady pace. This is where the torque of an electric motor comes into the hybrid drive system, and where your gas savings come from. At Feist Automotive, our experts are trained to keep those savings coming, by ensuring that the electric motors in your hybrid or EV are in optimal working condition. We provide diagnostic testing, repairs, and preventative maintenance for drivers near Golden Valley to make sure your hybrid or EV remains at peak performance.

Without your vehicle's battery and charging systems, those fuel-saving electric motors will have no power to turn. The specialized batteries in hybrid and electric vehicles are the costliest part of the entire system, so they should be serviced by mechanics that have expert training in the field. At Feist Automotive we ensure that only certified technicians, fully trained across all major manufacturers' power systems, will service your vehicle's battery and charging systems. As with your vehicle's electric motors, we can diagnose and repair issues, as well as sourcing and installing quality replacement parts should the job require it.

The capacity for regenerative braking is another clever feature of your hybrid or EV. This kind of braking essentially puts the electric motor(s) into reverse, assisting the mechanical brake pads and slowing the vehicle while generating electricity to charge the battery. A beneficial side effect of this system is the longevity that drivers see in the life of their brake system. At Feist Automotive we carefully monitor your vehicle's brake pads to ensure the pads last as long as possible, saving you even more money in the process. When it's finally time to replace the pads, we'll have you back on the road within a matter of hours.

If you are looking for great service for your hybrid car or electric vehicle in the Golden Valley MN area call Feist Automotive today at 763-544-5512.

Testimonials

I brought my car in for routine service and because ABS and Traction Control warning lights were on. They have worked on this vehicle before. But this time, they did not tell me that because it was a 20 year old Corvette, they would charge me the classic car labor rate of $250/hour. First, I do not think that a 20 year old vehicle is actually a classic car. The state of MN defines a classic car as being at least 25 years old. And according to Google, the average age of a vehicle on the road is 14 years. But more important than that is the fact that JoAnne, the shop manager told me that a new tech was working on my car. I don't have a problem with that except that if you are charging more to work on a 20 year old corvette it is because it requires special expertise to do so, expertise a new tech is unlikely to have. They also said the car arrived with a dead battery. I find that unlikely as the vehicle is a daily driver and I have had no starting issues with it since I replaced the battery 7 years ago. I suspect, but can't prove, that they left the manual transmission in a gear other than reverse, which will cause a rapid discharge of the battery. I did put a warning tag on the transmission lever to indicate that because not everyone knows, or remembers you have to do that with C-6 corvettes with manual transmissions. They recommended a new battery and I accepted their recommendation because the battery was 7 years old. The only other negative is that I asked them to re-set the oil life remaining indicator and they did not. Fortunately it is pretty easy to do and I did it myself. But for what I paid, I shouldn't have had to. On the positive side, the warming lights are off and the car runs fine. JoAnne is friendly and knows her cars. But I can't give 5 stars for the reasons above.
